Knicker Party

Ever thought the quality of pants in 'Primarni' was ok but regretting spending the pound after day 1? And walking out of M&S lingerie dept because everything is creeping up to high waist when it comes to the matching set?!

Well my friends! What you need is a 'Knicker workshop'!! Get they' hands working on a sewing machine! Awesome giggles and fun to be had!

As part of Rachael's hen party we made pants! Well, gorgeous frilly knickers actually! We had some beautiful fabrics to choose from aswell as ribbons, bows and a funky label!

The wonderful ladies Erika, Delia and Peg were brilliant and kept the group all on task whilst catching up!

Making Chicks

My best friend Rachael decided to get married and I was one lucky lady tasked with organising her hen party! Now, there's usually a theme...but who does the obvious..?! Hen & Chicks!

Following in the footsteps of the film Bridesmaids I wanted to give the girls a free pet to take away. Unfortunately...the budget didn't stretch to Labrador puppies :-(

I got all the materials for making my chicks in a local craft shop and with the assistance of my talented husband Ben, we managed to make 20 Chicks over the evening!!

They were very popular on the weekend and all have very different looks! There's Bob, Frank, George......

Great fun and easy to make with a bit of thread and glue!

Place Names & Favours

So i'm knee deep in wedding prep! One week to go as the big day is next Saturday!! Yikes...

Two of my lovely bridesmaids Kryska and Rach came over on Thursday night, after a Pizza we then we cracked on with making the place names from purple felt, this does require dressing making scissors!! Finished off by writing the names with 'Pebeo' touch textile pens. We used the silver glitter and they look super great!!!

The Birds fit in with our theme as seen on the invite sample next to them! I thought it best to stick with just the purple bird so that the names showed up more effectively.

I also managed to do the favours this afternoon. Simple and not too time consuming! I've filled the bags with 'Haribo' Jelly Beans. This has left me with a tonne of the other colours but i'm sure my workmates will have no problem devouring those!!

The actual bags were from Hobbycraft. They were on offer and came in bags of 20 which helps as most places sell just bags of 10. We needed 95 in total!

Wedding Hair

I'm lucky enough to be getting married in April 2011 and sorting out my hair is still giving me concerns! Fringe back, fringe in...Updo? Half up? I'm certainly not the best at doing my own hair. I just usually stick with washed and well blow dryed with a bit of straightening! Simples! This is going to be a task. I have a hair trial in Feb...hmmm
Not sure that the glasses will be joining me on the walk down the aisle! ;-)

What styles?

These ones are all very chic! But maybe a bit too perfect looking for me. The Fringe isn't quite my style on the far right... She does look stunning though!!

Now this is classy but still cute! But i don't think i have enough hair for the back section. There's always fake hair i guess? Anyone have any recommendations?
Let me know.
